Expanding FUFs

Fuf chairs are some of our most popular foam chair products. And I had organized these products at My Pillow Place in basically 2 pages…the x small, Small and Medium sizes on one page. Then I put the Larger sizes on another. But this poses a problem because it was a very confusing way for a visitor to figure out what they product was and all the choices available.
When I put together www.my-bean-bag-place.com, I knew I wanted to feature the FUF Chairs as a prominent product. So I created 7 pages for the 7 different sizes and then a splash page that would hopefully gather the traffic and funnel customers to the size they desire.
Over this weekend, I decided to bring that kind of organization to www.my-pillow-place.com and I created a new splash Page for FUF Chairs. And then I started building product pages out of the rest of the sizes….so far I have x small FUF Chairs, Small FUF Chairs, Medium FUF Chairs, Large FUF Chairs and King FUF Chairs completed. Tomorrow I will finish the last 2 pages. I am hoping this will boost sales of the products and offer customers a better and more organized experience. The best thing about it is that I was able to replace some old pages with products that are no longer available with the FUF line. Now, lets get to selling!
Bean Bags Galore

As we try to spread our claim of internet real estate with My Bean Bag Place. I’m having trouble getting Google to index these pages. I used to have the My Bean Bag Place URL (which I actually purchased a long time ago) redirected to our My Pillow Place Bean Bag page. But a cached snap shot of the page, shows Google has not updated it yet with our new Yahoo store information.
As the week has gone on, I’ve tried to add some products to it while trying to learn the ins and outs of store design with the Yahoo Store structure, because its so very different from our other ecommerce store solution. The other day, I created a Jaxx Sac Foam Chairs Page to display all four sizes of our Jaxx Sacs. Its a really different structure than our pages on my pillow place, where we sell each size on the same page. I’m not sure which I like better, but I’ll tell how it worked out after we open the store for business in a month or 2.
Today, I added the FUF Chair page on our site which will show all 7 sizes of the available FUF Chairs. Again, it will be set up similarly to the Jaxx pages. I’m still learning how to use the Yahoo store builder, that is built in to the yahoo store. I find it relatively simple (I purchased a for Dummies book to help me) but I find it not very flexible. If there are some design ideas that I have, some that I even employ on my pillow place, I don’t know how to do them. Or even if they are possible. When the site is completed and open, we’ll see how it all turns out.
The idea here is to take the bean bag section of my pillow place and try to gain some ground in the bean bag space.
