What is Viradian?
Viradian is a word I created for a species of characters in a little comic book I created which I am publishing through Createspace, a “publish on demand” company affiliated with Amazon. The word is a derivative of the color ”viridian” green which I saw in a box of crayolas once. Anyways, I use the word often, including email and as my business name…I don’t know, I just like it. In addition to writing comic books and being a webmaster, I am also a Licensed Architect…(for real…unlike George Costanza!)
Click here to see a sample of the comic Book or search on Amazon.com….The Viradians, though, only make a small appearance in this episode. But they are the characters on the left of the image above.

Bruce and Janis, thank you for the nice comments. A splash page refers to a product group, such as “floor pillows” which lists a bunch of items on a page in that category. People can come to that page, select which “floor pillow” they like and click the link or image to proceed that that specfic product page for purchase.
A landing page is a page in which people “land on” when they visit your site. It can be any page, but its best when a page relates to what people are searching for. If I was running an sponsored search campaign, I would direct people to land on a page that refered to whatever they were searching for. I’ll use my “floor pillow” example again. Someone might type “square floor pillow” into the search bar. I would want the indexed page on my site to reflect that search.
As for what is involved in becoming a webmaster, it would take me pages to go through all that is involved. But I’ll refer you to the source I was referred to. Visit http://www.worldwidebrands.com. There you can download a free e-book from the free stuff section called “Starting your e-business right”…I’m am not affiliated, nor plugging their products. But it was a great free resource written in real basic language that helped me get started. I still refer to that e-book today.
